The Energy Companies Obligation (ECO) is a government policy aimed at improving the energy efficiency of homes in the UK. ECO is sometimes also known as Help to Heat or Affordable Warmth.
ECO imposes a legal obligation on the largest energy suppliers to fund 1000’s of boiler replacements and insulation measures into homes that qualify for this help.
ECO funding is available to householders who are:
- in receipt of certain benefits or on a low income,
- diagnosed with certain health conditions and vulnerable to the effects of living in a cold home
